The Almanar Social Service thinks that development should come from the below i.e. people’s participation and capacitating are to be achieved to route their way to development which is not devoid of social justice. In short development is not one dimensional phenomenon. It is inseparable with social justice, human rights and value based environment friendly style of living.
The aim and objective of this society is to engage itself in amelioration of peoples, socioeconomic, educational and health status without any prejudices to caste, creed, race, religion of place of birth with special emphasis on the weaker section of the society. Some illustrative causes towards which these ameliorative activities will be directed are as mentioned below
- Society will provide relief and succor to the sufferer of calamities and catastrophe, natural and man-made which will also include medical help, help in legal proceedings, claims and rehabilitation work as much the means of the society permits. Society will provide educational facilities to the weaker section of the society, for which it can start or help to start institutions imparting primary, secondary or higher education in different discipline can establish or grant for facilities in imparting professional and vocational courses to train youths of employability or self employment. To establish Laboratories, Buildings, Administrative Office, Workshops, Hostels, Rest houses, Libraries, Cafeteria etc. To establish educational centers for elders of the society, to make effort to train off springs in moral values and ward off evils. To provide facilities to the students, needy and meritorious, by way of Grants, Scholarships, Coaching Fees, Educational Loan etc. To establish coaching centres, book bank and computer education centers. To publish journals, Newsletters, Periodicals, Books & Newspapers, Souvenir, etc. To run and establish printing press, recording centres, production centres, operate the same individually, commonly or jointly.
- Society will establish or help in establishing Medical Centres, Dispensaries, Diagnostic Centres, Hospitals, Hearse Vans, Ambulances and to help by way of Medical Counselling or Monetary help. To organize seminars/health awareness programme and educate people for health and healty living and to cooperate with other agencies in health mission programme.
- Society will protect environment take up plantation, disaster management, and other necesssary steps. Society will provide relief and succor to the destitute, and aged, the infirm, widows and orphans, and other weakere section of the society and for this purpose, will establish and run orphanage homes for destitute, tec. Society will provide interest-free loans to the poor and weaker section section of the society for this, can establish interest-free bank, cooperative bank, self-help groups etc. To make people aware of the society, and to train women of weaker section of the society in different household work and cottage industries for making them self-reliant and enhancing family income. Society shall help promote better understanding amongst different sections, ethnic entity, communities, groups of different walks of the life rich and poor, religious groups and the like, by organizing get-together tea parties table talks, social functions and such other activities. The Almanar Social Service is committed to social, economical, educational and technological development of Tribal people and weaker section of the society. The Society will also help to preserve and promote the tribal culture and traditions.
- The Almanar Social Service seeks to identify and contribute to the solution of the social, economical, educational, cultural, technological and environmental problems of the State, Nation and World at large. The society will work mainly in the field of action-oriented work, training, experimentation, research, teaching entrepreneurship, publishing of thesis, magazines, research papers, newspapers and books. Advocacy of rural and urban development, health care, environment, education, agriculture and economics & finance, art & culture, child welfare, disability, food and nutrition, forestry, human rights intellectual property, energy & power, local administration, minorities development, media, micro enterprises, labour welfare, sports population, poverty sanitation, sustainable development, tribal related issues, water related issues, women issues, library-documentation, rescue operation, disaster management and many more works.
